  • FAQs – E-Learning Courses

    Qn: Who designed the E-Learning Courses?
    Ans:
    We have a dedicated team of Content Researchers, Instructional Designers, Content Developers, Content Reviewers, and Subject Matter Experts.

    Qn: How long is the E-Learning access period?
    Ans: Typically, you will be given 2 weeks access period to complete the E-Learning course.

    Qn: How long is the duration of the E-Learning Course?
    Ans: Depending on each individual learning pace. Each course can be completed within 2 hours or less. Our E-Learning Courses allow you the flexibility to complete the course in one sitting or complete one module at a time. Each course is divided into 3 to 5 modules and carefully designed to provide maximum interaction and engagement for the learner.

    Qn: Can I repeat my E-Learning Course again?
    Ans:
    Yes.You may repeat the E-Learning Course as many times as you want within the given access period.

    Qn: Can I pause my E-Learning Course and continue thereafter?
    Ans:
    Yes. The E-Learning Portal provides you with the flexibility to manage your learning progress according to your schedule and preferred learning style. This means that you can manage your learning pace by stopping and continuing with it at another time at your convenience (within the given access period). So the next time you login, a bookmark feature allows you to continue from where you stopped or begin the course again.

    Qn: How do I sign up for the E-Learning Course?

    Qn: How do I pay for the E-Learning Course?
    Ans:

    1. Step 1: Kindly indicate your payment preference (Company sponsored/Self-pay) on the registration form and provide the correct billing information. An invoice will be billed to your Organization’s Training Department/Residential Address.
    2. Step 2: Enclose cheque payable to “National Library board” and mail the cheque with the registration form to:
      National Library Board c/o NLB Academy,
      Toa Payoh Public Library (Level 3),
      6 Toa Payoh Central,
      Singapore 319191

    *All cheques/bank drafts should be made payable to “National Library Board”, crossed and marked ‘A/C payee only’. Please indicate your name, NRIC Number, mailing address, the course title & date indicated on the reverse side of the cheque/bank draft.

    A receipt will be sent to you upon receipt of payment.

    Qn: What payment mode is accepted?
    Ans: We accept Cheque and bank drafts.

    Qn: When can I start my E-Learning Course after the payment is made?
    Ans:
    You can start the E-Learning Course as soon as your payment is successful.

    Qn: How do I log in to the E-Learning Course?
    Ans:
    An email notification with the E-Learning Course link will be sent to you.

    If it is your first time signing up for our E-Learning Course, please ensure that your email setting is configured to receive the email from the inbox and the junk mail.

    Qn: Does each of the E-Learning Courses cover all the modules stated?
    Ans:
    Yes. Each of the E-Learning Courses covers all the modules stated in the course information

    Qn: Do I get a Certificate when I complete the E-Learning Course?
    Ans:
    Yes. After successfully completing the E-Learning Course, you can view and print a Certification of Achievement from the Course/Learning Activity Page in the E-Learning Course link.

    Please note that there is an assessment at the end of the course for some E-Learning Courses. You must complete all the modules before you can take the assessment. The passing score is 65% to achieve the Certificate of Achievement.

    Qn: The system prompted me that my username account has been disabled?

    Ans:

    • Situation 1:  Our security system will disable your account if you key in the wrong password for 3 times. To reset your password, do contact our hotline at +65 90820680 or send your queries.
    • Situation 2: Your access period for the E-Learning Course is over.

    Qn: What is the contact number/email if I face login problem/technical issue with the E-Learning?

    Registration

    Qn: How do I register for the Seminar?
    Ans:
    By Online Registration Form

    By Fax: Fax the completed registration form to 6354 5071
    By Email: Email the scanned copy of your completed registration form to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
    *Please note that registration is provisional until payment is made.

    Qn: How do I know if I have been enrolled to the Seminar?
    Ans:
    A confirmation email will be sent to all participants at least one week before the date of commencement.

    Qn: I wish to attend a Seminar one week before the Seminar commencement, would I be in time to register for the Seminar?
    Ans:
    You will be placed in the waiting list, and we will contact you shortly should there be any vacancy. However, if the Seminar has reached its maximum enrolment limit, we will keep in touch with you and inform you on the next run of your preferred Seminar.

    Qn: How do I make payment for the Seminar?
    Ans:

    Ans: Withdrawal and substitution must be made in writing. We regret that there will be no refund if no written notification of withdrawal is received before/by the commencement date. We welcome substitution of participant at no extra charge.

    Qn: How will the Workshop be conducted (any practicals, exams, etc)?
    Ans: The Workshop will be conducted in classroom sessions, and there will be self-directed learning and assignments.

    Qn: How do I register for the Workshop?
